Overview
ComplyAI is an AI-powered compliance platform currently being designed and developed collaboratively with my team to simplify AI compliance for companies operating in high-risk industries. As AI regulations continue to evolve, organizations often struggle to interpret complex legal requirements, identify risks, and maintain ongoing compliance.
Our goal is to create a centralized compliance workspace that helps teams identify regulatory gaps, track compliance progress, and stay updated with changing laws — making a traditionally complex and fragmented process more accessible, actionable, and user-friendly. Final Designs are still Work in Progress and will be updated once the product is Live
Problem Statement
Small and mid-sized companies using AI in industries like hiring and finance struggle to navigate rapidly evolving AI regulations such as the EU AI Act and US hiring AI laws. Most teams lack the legal expertise, time, and resources to understand whether regulations apply to them, what obligations they must meet, and how to demonstrate compliance — making AI governance feel complex, overwhelming, and inaccessible.
Solution
ComplyAI solves the complexity of AI compliance by turning raw legal text into clear, actionable guidance within a single workspace. It identifies compliance gaps, tracks progress, and updates teams when regulations change—helping companies stay continuously compliant in high-risk industries.
How and Why we switched our Initial User research methods?
For Primary Research we created a Google Form to conduct user interview questions in order to narrow down our research however recruiting qualified participants proved difficult due to the niche intersection of AI governance, legal compliance, and B2B SaaS. To continue grounding the project in real-world insights, we shifted from traditional user interviews to a combination of synthetic research and assumption mapping. We analyzed discussions from platforms like Reddit, LinkedIn, YC forums, and legal-tech communities to identify recurring pain points, trust concerns, and compliance challenges. Alongside this, we mapped and prioritized key product assumptions to guide design decisions and reduce uncertainty early in the process.

The ComplyAI design system direction focuses on a clean, trustworthy, and enterprise-ready experience. Deep navy tones establish security and reliability, while bright blue accents highlight key actions and interactions. The system emphasizes clarity, accessibility, and consistent components to simplify complex compliance workflows through a modern SaaS interface.
Reflection
Working on ComplyAI helped me understand how complex compliance workflows can be simplified through thoughtful UX and clear information architecture. It strengthened my ability to design for both usability and trust in AI-driven products.
